Role Overview:

Engineer - R&D Controls role is based out of the corporate office, Noida. The incumbent should grasp the fundamentals of mechanics and propose suitable control elements. Actively engage in the testing of in-house products and, if necessary, be prepared to visit the customer site to assist the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with various stakeholders (Customers, Vendors, Cross Functional Teams) to get a detailed insight into solution requirements
  • Conceptualize and operationalize the solution, document them for development, and ensure that the latest technology is being used for the development.
  • Finalizing the solution with stakeholders and subsequently identifying vendors based on technical requirements, in collaboration with the SCM team, and arranging POCs for vendors.
  • Release engineering BOM as per the internal process and actively work on prototype development & ensure its testing.
  • Handle the issues reported by the After Sales Team and provide the necessary support.
  • Maintain the documentation of products and projects as per the company process.

Key Skills, Qualifications, and Required Years of Experience

  • Education qualification of bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering
  • Prior experience of 3 to 5 years
  • Knowledge of motor selection, motor controller, sensors, wiring basics, load calculation & OPC server
  • Understanding of various Industrial networking protocols Profinet, Profibers, DeviceNet, device sizing & commissioning
  • Must have worked on PLC programming, SCADA/HMI
  • Basic understanding of industrial standards and certifications
