Robot AI Researcher – Advanced Robotics

As a Robot AI Researcher, you will develop and deploy advanced AI algorithms for robotic systems, focusing on vision and motion planning. The Robot AI Researcher - Advanced Robotics role is based out of the corporate headquarters in Noida. In this role, you will leverage advanced AI techniques, including reinforcement learning, deep learning, imitation learning, and SLAM, to build training and data collection systems, evaluate algorithms in simulation, and deploy solutions on robots for real-world applications.

  • Design and implement advanced AI algorithms for robotic systems, focusing on areas like computer vision, perception, motion planning, and reinforcement learning. 
  • Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, GANs) for various robotic applications such as object recognition, path planning, and autonomous decision-making. 
  • Develop techniques to enhance RL/IL learning processes, targeting key performance factors like sample efficiency, speed, resource utilization, and scalability.
  • Apply reinforcement learning (RL) techniques to enable robots to learn from interaction with their environment, optimizing behaviors such as navigation, manipulation, and task execution. 
  • Work with large-scale datasets to train multimodal robot foundation models. Optimize AI models for efficient performance, real-time processing, and deployment on robotic systems. Implement data augmentation and simulation techniques to enhance model robustness.
  • Leverage CUDA programming for GPU acceleration to train and deploy AI models faster and more efficiently, particularly in resource-constrained environments such as embedded robotic platforms. 
  • Design and test prototypes of AI-driven robotic systems on real-world testing to validate algorithms. Conduct performance analysis and refine models based on testing feedback. 
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of hardware engineers, roboticists, and software developers to integrate AI solutions into real-world robotic systems. 

Key Skills, Qualifications, and Required Years of Experience

  • PhD or master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 2-5 Years of experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and CUDA for developing and optimizing AI models. 
  • Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit-learn. 
  • Solid understanding of reinforcement learning, deep learning, and other machine learning algorithms. 
  • Some experience with Foundation Models; Physical AI; Visual Language Action (VLA Models) is recommended.  
  • Knowledge of robotics sensors (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) Robot Operating System (ROS)  and integration with AI models for perception, manipulation and decision-making. 
  • Hands-on experience in developing AI algorithms for real-time applications in robotic platforms. 
  • Ability to work with large datasets, perform model evaluation, and optimize AI models for computational efficiency and real-time performance.
