What is an autonomous forklift?
An autonomous forklift is a driverless forklift that lifts, transports and places pallets on its own, using LiDAR, safety sensors and navigation software in place of a human operator. Addverb's FlowT moves pallets up to 2,000 kg across warehouses, distribution centres and factory floors without special infrastructure. It picks up and drops pallets on the ground, on conveyors or, in the ground-to-height variant, on storage racking. -
How much does an autonomous forklift cost?
The cost of an autonomous forklift depends on payload, lift height, navigation technology, safety package, integration scope and fleet size, so Addverb prices FlowT per project after reviewing your site and throughput. Beyond the robots, budget for charging stations, WMS integration, commissioning and maintenance. Compare that total against the fully loaded cost of forklift drivers across every shift you run, since that is where payback comes from. -
How long can an autonomous forklift run before it needs to charge?
Addverb's FlowT - autonomous forklift runs for up to 8 hours on a charge and recharges in about 1.5 hours at a fully automatic smart charging station, so it covers a full shift and docks itself between tasks. Fleet size and charging schedules are planned together so some units always work while others charge, which keeps pallet flow steady across multi-shift operations. -
Is an autonomous forklift safe around warehouse workers?
Yes, Addverb's FlowT uses LiDAR and object detection sensors that automatically stop the forklift when a person or obstacle enters its path, plus LED indicators and a buzzer that signal its movement to people nearby. Safety zones and speed limits are set to your layout during commissioning. Driverless industrial trucks are typically assessed against ANSI/ITSDF B56.5 in the US and ISO 3691-4 internationally. -
What is the difference between a ground-to-ground and a ground-to-height autonomous forklift?
The ground-to-ground FlowT 1000 is an autonomous pallet truck that moves pallets between floor-level points such as docks, conveyors and staging lanes, while the ground-to-height variant FlowT 1530 also lifts pallets onto and retrieves them from storage racking. Choose ground-to-ground for horizontal transport, and ground-to-height when the robot must also put away and replenish rack locations. FlowT handles open pallets, trolleys and cages.
